What language is spoken in Malta?
Malta’s official languages are Maltese and English; English is especially well spoken in tourist regions and the majority of signage, documentation and information is provided in English. Italian is also widely spoken. 

How easy is it to travel around Malta from Club Salina Wharf?
The resort is situated in Bugibba, 15km from the capital city Valletta and 20 minutes away from the airport by car. Public transport, in the form of buses, is regular and stops are within walking distance of the hotel.

What currency is used in Malta?
Malta joined the EU in 2004 and the Eurozone in 2008. The Euro is therefore the official currency used across the islands.

Does the Hotel cater for special dietary needs?
Our chef will happily cater to any special dietary requirements. Please inform us what your requirements are when booking. 

Does the hotel have an Internet cafe?
Yes, in the lobby. Internet is charged at a rate of €1 per 20 minutes.

Can I rent a car?
Yes, as long as you hold a valid Driver’s License and can produce another form of identity. Driving in Malta is on the left.

Will I have access to medical care if I need it?
Malta enjoys world-class medical care, which is free to EU citizens (providing they have a European Health Insurance Card). A doctor is on-call 24-hours a day.

What is the electrical supply and socket type used in Malta?
The electrical supply is 240 volts, single phase, 50 cycles. The 13 amps, three-pin rectangular sockets are used.

Is Club Salina Wharf child friendly?
The resort boasts several child-friendly facilities including two children’s pools (indoor and out), a games room, activity room and kids’ club. We can also offer in-room babysitting care – charged at an hourly rate.
